To reduce the effects of low temperatures and protect the health of residents in these areas of the capital, the SGIRPC recommended that people who feel unwell go to a nearby health center. To prevent respiratory diseases, it was recommended to get vaccinated against influenza, as well as to avoid sudden temperature changes and to consume abundant amounts of water, fruits and vegetables high in vitamins A and C. The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) of Mexico City activated a double alert for the low temperatures that will be recorded during the early morning hours on Monday.
